This is an old-fashioned icon designed to appeal to the steampunk mind, I suggest it might be a useful replacement to trigger the DOS or CONSOLE command line window triggered by typing in CMD at the run point - You can of course use it for anything you wish. I use a terrifically wonderful bit of software called simply CONSOLE, available from sourceforge. It replaces the standard windows console and allows multi-tabbed consoles to be opened with the added bonus of transparency if required.
This is one of my steampunk items, a steampunk screen from my thermometer widget coupled with a lamp and some pens in a cup. It certainly has a good steampunk look and feel and might be a useful addition to your desktop.
It is another one of a bunch of steampunk icons that I have created that will leave your Windows or Mac desktop looking absolutely spiffing. There is a whole set of the little thingies and I must say they do look very steampunk indeed! They really are a suitable replacement for the boring old default icons that come with Rocketdock/ObjectDock &c.
This icon and the others like it will spruce up your desktop and give it a bit of Victorian class. Compatible with MobyDock, ObjectDock, RK Launcher, and your default Windows icons.
You can get all the icons in one bundle here: http:/www.rocketdock.com/addon/icons/38398
In this bundle, each icon image is combined within a single ico file so that you have the icons sized at 16, 32, 48 or 128 bytes all in one.
If you want any new ones then just ask! I am always open to new (or old) ideas - please leave a comment, these icons are quite hard to do and a nice comment makes my day.
Rocketdock Installation: In the rocketdock folder there is a subfolder called icons. Move these icons into that folder or create a subfolder called steampunk icons and copy them in there. Then you simply change each of your individual icon images to any one of these. Easy enough.
The only condition for downloading and using is that you leave feedback. Please leave a message and if you feel in the mood be so kind as to donate some points here:
